Re: would you book your HM on one of those on-line site
We've booked all of our trips over seas via orbitz and other online places, so I would say sure do it. But it is your honeymoon and if you are apprehensive about it and fearful that something might go wrong, then book with an agent.Sorry not very helpful

That's definitely a good idea--checking with the resort to confirm everything. I've done that with hotels via email and what not just to make sure everything was okay.Good luck with planning!

i normally book all of my vacations online. But, this time I got a much lower quote from Liberty Travel than I could find anywhere online.

I booked our cruise through Orbitz. And used Hotwire to book our hotel for our extended stay in San Juan.

I book vacations online all the time. We found our HM package online. I have never had a problem.

We are faithful Expedia travelers. We've used Expedia a few times and no problems.

Re: would you book your HM on one of those on-line site
I was also aprehensive about using one of the online sites. I usually use hotels.com or orbitz.com. So we searched prices and then called TA. Told her what we saw and she got us the same price (plus a little more for insurance).

Re: would you book your HM on one of those on-line site
I suggest comparing the prices you get online and those from a travel agent. I personally have booked trips online, similar deals to DR that you mentioned, and I have never had any problem. I would feel pretty secure, especially because you would use a credit card. If anything went wrong, you could probably do something about getting money back or stopping the payment.

I've used expedia and orbitz with no problem if you're apprehensive you can also book directly with the hotel and get a web rate most of the large chains like Hilton, Marriott, Four Season, etc good luck

Overall the major sites like Travelocity and Expedia should be good. I know people who used them and liked them. I am using a site for cruises. My parents used them before and were very happy with them.Welcome New Vendors
