Re: BM hair question

i told the gals they allhave to match - they are all wearing the hair up in a plain updo - so far only one griped about it - then i told her it was to help the wreaths sit right - and she dropped it
personally i think hair is part of the outfit and they should all be the same ( aside from short or long hair - which of course cant match exactly)

Re: BM hair question

I don't think that the hairstyles need to match. Three of my friends have curly hair and they're going to get it straightened and wear it down, the other three are undecided about their hair. I think since their dresses will all match then they can feel free to wear their hair their own personal way. However, I would defintely have a problem if any of my friend chose a hairstyle very similar to my own. You are the bride and you should shine and stand out, which you will regardless, but out of respect they should chose something different or at least less elaborate than your hairstyle.

I don't care how they have their hair done. Some girls may hate wearing their hair up. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so I am not making a big deal about how they wear their hair. They're all gonna look beautiful however they wear it.

Well unless all of your girls have the same type of hair, getting an exact match, isn't always possible.
I have one with short hair, one with med hair, and one with very long hair, no way I will able able to get them all to match, so I am leaving it up to them..but I wouldn't want them to match me (JMO)

Re: BM hair question

I just told my girls that I wanted them to HAVE their hair done - and to do something elegant - but otherwise I have no specifics - just something to keep in mind - not everyone looks good with the same hairstyle - so if you pick something make sure it is flattering on everyone - since they will forever be in your photos they should all look beautiful -

I DON'T think any of the BM should have something similar to the bride though my girls know what I am planning on doing and have said they will make sure it is NOT similar.

Re: BM hair question

i want my girls to wear it in an up do... i think they can choose how to wear it as long as it is up ... i don't care if it is similar to mine because all i am doing is an up do

i don't like hair down for a dressy occasion

Re: BM hair question

I am letting my girls do whatever they want. There is only one that I'm worried about doing anything with her hair b/c she tends to just wear it pulled back every day and isn't the girly type to go to a salon have any idea what to do. I'm going to make some subtle suggestions to her.

As far as two of your girls wearing their hair similar to yours, I wouldn't really worry about it too much. You're the bride, and no matter what, you are going to look different than them. My sister, who is my MOH, is putting her hair up in curls, and also using hair pins. However, she won't have the veil or the big white dress! Another one of my BMs, FH's sister, wants to do this very fancy hairdo with ribbons in her hair or something. Her hair may be more fancy than mine, but again, she's still not the one in the white dress, so i'm not too concerned.

Oh, and just to add some more options to the mix, one of my BMs is an orthodox Jew who is getting married 3 weeks before me. She has to keep her head covered once married, so she will be wearing a wig! As long as everyone is happy, that's what I say

Re: BM hair question

personally, i wouldn't appreiciate it if someone told me to wear my hair a certain way. BM dress and jewelry ok, but not hair. i want my BM's to be comfortable and look natural, so whatever they choose top do w/ their hair is fine w/ me.

ETA: i totally agree w/ Rob-luvs-me

I agree -whatever they want to do is fine with me. However they feel most glamourous.

I'm letting them do whatever they want. I just asked that they do it. I only have 2 bm's and one is giving me a headache about it!!

I am asking for low buns, nothing dramatic, considering I have an updo.

I was in a wedding where we had to all get our hair done the same and it really sucked!!!! I hated it and I paid double than if I would have went to my own place.

Re: BM hair question

I told the girls they have wear there hair however they like. I am paying for them to have it professionally done. I am sure none of them would where it the same way as me - they all have seen my trial pics and I know they wouldn't do that.
