We used this service to prepare our taxes online which include e-filing which cost around $10.

ETA:

You can also go to the IRS website and the similar site for NYS to get general info on e-filing and to locate authorized e-filing service providers.

I asked the accounts here and they said there would be the processing fee.

If you go the IRS website, www.irs.gov, there are links to free e-file sites.
