I will be the odd person out and say you MAY be overanalyzing.
What about anyone else who might be engaged? Were they in the photos. We is only blood relatives in the pictures?
You may want to consider these things first, before jumping to any conclusions. Tell us what the situation is.
Remember, you are NOT family yet. As much as that may seem cruel and unusual, its a fact. You are a FUTURE family member. If they only had actual family members in the pics, then that may be how they planned it. Or it could be they didn't think of it. Also, were you engaged before they finalized the photos with the photographer? That's antoher thing to take into consideration.

Re: Would this bother you or am I over-analysing?
FSIL got married last April and I was not asked to be in family pics either and I felt the exact same way. We were not engaged yet but we were living together. I told FH how I felt and he said he didn't even think of it, so maybe she didn't either. I didn't hold it against her but I was hurt.

I'm so sorry about that :( I would be very hurt as well. You aren't just a random date or girlfriend- you are a future member of the family.....I'd be upset as well and you have every right to be.

Re: Would this bother you or am I over-analysing?
I would be upset! My FIL's have this strong belief that marriage equals you being part of the family....so even as a fiance and even after all I do for them ( I am not patting myself on the back, I am just stating)...I am not considered family. I must say it does hurt me too.
They took pictures for VDay of all the kids (he has 12 brothers and sister (my fiance)) and they gave wallets to my fiance's Sister in law because she is married and I didn't get any. I was a little hurt because I really wanted them and I was not entitled to one because I wasn't family. I have a big problem when they do things like that but....they are just like that and there is no changing them.
I know how you feel and I am sorry!

Only you know your relationship with them but coming from a bride's perspective it really could've just been an oversight. I realized from my wedding day that I don't have a pic of just me and my brother. Unfortunately these things can happen.

I would be very hurt too... but it may have been a complete accident. So much stuff is going on during the day for the couple getting married it is easy to see how you could have been left out. I think it actually should have been your FH's responsibility to go and find you if you werent in the room while the pictures were being snapped. Maybe the family expected him to take care of you, and if he didn't mention it, maybe it wasnt their place to press the issue. Just a thought...

I would be hurt too, but I bet it wasn't intentional. Just do what you want and feel is right at your own wedding. Quite frankly, I would actually be a little annoyed at your FH. He should have invited you into a picture or two. I know that if I got called up for a family photo I would take FH's hand and bring him with me. I was doing that long before we were engaged.

I don't think I would be really offended, but I would definitely think that I should be included. My FH's family has included me in everything since we moved in together, but not really before that...

Alot of times it is the photographer that makes those kind of calls when it should be the bride and groom. Maybe that is what happened and that they were so busy with their wedding that they didn't realize it.
