I've worn black to a ton of weddings, and I must say I think that is what most people wear. You don't see many people strutting around in a bright yellow gown at an evening wedding. That said, I would wear something formal to a Sat. evening wedding, I usually reserve, my flowery, light colored dresses for day weddings. JMO.

i did love aht pink dress on you - it suited you perfectly.....but if it will make you sad - no need to wear it! i love wearing balck becasue it is so flattering and classic looking.

then i say wear the pink dress! i haven't seen the picture of you in it in a while - but i still remember how nicely it worked for you! and it would be perfect for a summer wedding!

I love black, it is elegant and not a funeral color. Wear what you feel comfortable in. Please let us know how Chateau La Mer was! Have a great time

I am a bridesmaid for the wedding on Sunday. I am so excited. I always wear black to a wedding.
