yes!! from the past and future!!! I think we are being compared to all the weddings in HIS family for the last 10 years and there are 2 right after hours... and there is all this tension between the 'future brides' lol its like a competition or something.. its really sad lol

Yup - but that's why I don't volunteer any info - I have been questioned about a few things and I have a feeling that if I gave my answer I would see it at the wedding before mine. At this point I don't care anymore - as long as my wedding meets our expectations then I'll be happy.

Yup! And I have a psycho bride trying to steal all of my ideas because she is getting married a month before us. She has nill creativity so she is mooching off of me. I sound so bitter. Who am I to talk, I steal ideas from all of you. But she is just nasty about it and when she does steal them she claims I STOLE THEM FROM HER!!!!

Re: has anyone ever felt.....
I hate when someone asks a question, like did you book your honeymoon and I say yes, we are going to Cancun, etc. and then they say YOU SHOULD GO TO ITALY...or something like that. D%ck, I just said we booked it, I'm not asking for suggestions! I agree, as long as you two are satisfied, don't even bother telling anyone because someone out there will say 'I could have gotten you a better deal'

Yes my FH's friend is always comparing. How much this person spent on the wedding and how much that person spent, It gets quite sickening after hearing it gor a while.

My aunt is also saying 'well Russo's is nice but there are nicer places in mahattan and a manhattan bride probaly would never have their wedding there or in Queens'. But I like it. I don't think she trying to make me feel bad she's just very honost. I do get some other tips from her which are helpful, but this is what I mean people like to compare.

YES! Friends of ours who got married a few months ago... I feel like everything is/was a competition...
Another friend of mine just got engaged and I am SO happy to help her... not compare everything!

Re: has anyone ever felt.....
This happened with me since we had 3 weddings in a month (ours was one).
I learned with the other brides to not really share info - if asked I just said that I'd rather not say and can't wait for you to see it/hear it/etc at our wedding.
Most people left me alone after they got that response

Re: has anyone ever felt.....
We are lucky...there is really nobody's wedding to compare ours to! We are the first to get married in both of our families. And of our friends, we are one the first as well...its amazing since we are both 28!

All the time--by my aunt! She is always comparing my upcoming wedding to her son's which was 5 years ago! She constantly tells me, 'My son had the best of this and of that' or the infamous 'why do you want that? to showoff?'
