I have mine.

Didn't hurt. Just a pinch.
Take care of it at the beginning and then it should be fine.
Bactine spray and Neosporin type ointment.

I take it out now once a week to clean. It is like 5 yrs old now.

I am not tired of it, I just forget I have it.

Re: anyone have a bellybutton piercing....

I got mine about 11 years ago. The worst part of the procedure for me was the clamp. That's what ya' feel, not the actual piercing.

I had no problems with mine. I have to stress that you can't play with it in the beginning. That's how they get infected. You clean and leave it alone.

Mine's never been infected. I have no regrets and nope, I'm not tired of it. I forget it's even there most of the time!

I got mine about 6 years ago.

I did hurt that bad. It probably took about a month to heal maybe more. But no biggie... you just have to clean it often. It has never gotten infected. I totally DON'T regret it. I still love it. I'm not tired of it and like someone else said, most of the time, I hardly know it's there. Just the other day I was looking at new rings to change it and that was fun.

My cousin, however, who I got it pierced with, well, she had all kinds of problems. It kept getting infected and she had to take it out. I don't think she even lasted 6 mos with it.

ETS: it DIDN'T hurt that bad!!

Re: anyone have a bellybutton piercing....

-Didn't hurt, although the first dew days I really felt it bouncing when I walked...but I gopt over it
-It never got infected, but I did everything the piercer told me to, like no panty hose, no long soaks in the tub, no one piece bathing suits at the beach...etc.
-I have had it since 1992
-I never regretted it, but now that I am gaining weight I am realizing that if I ever intnd to have kids it will have to go.
-I am never tired of it... I love buying new rings with new designs...I have about 20 different rings & about 10 charms that I can mix & match... I even have a WG one with real amethyst in it... it is my fav

Word of advice...go to a good, reputable piercer. Some piercers think it is an 'easy' piercing, but they do need to be careful as there are a bunch of nerve endings right near your belly button....do not be afraid to demand that the piercer wears gloves & do not be afriad to watch them 'unwwrap' the clean needles from its packaging.

Good luck!:

Re: anyone have a bellybutton piercing....

I got mine when I was 18. The clamp part hurt the most. After a month it started hurting really bad and I realzied it was from having a hoop in it, and that it moved to the side when I was laying on my stomach or hugging my Fh for example. I switched to a barbell one and never had another problem. It has been over 5 years now

Re: anyone have a bellybutton piercing....

i have had mine for about six years. The clamp was the worst part.
I remember walking in there. The workers had piercing galore and all these tatoos. Here I am- this little conservative Jewish girl asking for a navel ring. oy vey.

I've had mine done twice...had to take the first one out for surgery...decided to do it again 6 months later. The 2nd time hurt less....it healed pretty good. Still gets irritated from time to time if the waist of my pants rubs against it...I don't have a flat tummy though, but I did it anyway! I'll take it out once I get PG, but I love it! I love when people are surprised to know I have one!

I got mine about 8 years ago. It hurt a little when it was being done but it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I constantly cleaned it with Bactine although it only got a little infected. I always forget that I have it now. I love it and don't regret doing it at all.
