Sue - If you don't want to cause any drama, I would just write something like thank you for your gernerous gift & for remembering us on our wedding day.

Thats the stupidest thing I ever heard - did she not attend because she couldn't bring her date? If that s true then that's lame - I would do something just as weird - like mail her an envelope with no thank you in it. People are strange.
