I would just play along like she was there. Do you really care if they think they got one over on you? I know I wouldnt. You can always say something when you see her like 'You know I wouldve loved to have a pic of you, your sister and your mom together, its too bad that the photographer couldnt catch you all together.' JMO.

You can really play with her head and say how great it was to see her and you had so much fun dancing the night away...then again they'll all think you thought her twin was her.

I'd just say 'thanks for your generous gift' and leave it at that. If she says 'I was there' then say 'well why didn't you come up to me during the night?!?'

People are so weird.

YEah..I would say 'Thank you so much for your gift! I'm sorry we didn't get to see you at the wedding but I'm sure we'll get together soon' blah blah blah.

Just keep it simple and polite.

Carrie and Doug tried to do that on my favorite show King of Queens. That is sooooo shady! I would never DARE try to pull that off. Too funny. You should put a small p.s. saying, I got a FABULOUS pic of you from the wedding. If she was there, she would believe it, if she wasn't, she'll turn bright red and be embarassed like she should be!

I am laughing because I had a guest who also pretended to be there. When I saw her daughter at the wedding I asked where her mother was....The answer was 'in the bathroom'. Well she must have been in there for a good 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
