Re: Shower Thread.....List your ideas, things done, games, etc
I made up this dirty diaper game (well, I stole the idea from the web). I bought white felt and some pin backs (as well as some diaper pins and cheap plastic baby charms like rattles and such). I made up the little diapers, put on the diaper pin (with a charm attached to it) and glued the pin back to it so that guests could wear it. In about 8 random diapers, I made a little 'poop' mark with brown paint. If you had a dirty diaper, you got some sort of token gift like a dollar store candle or something. It made for a fun game and it was a little extra to the favor.
I also played the find the sticky under the chair game. If you had a sticky on the bottom of your chair, you got the centerpiece. Problem was, some people found out about the game early and 'stole' the sticky and put it under their chair. What people won't do for a dollar store trinket!
For favors we gave away baby powder scented candles (thank God for AC Moore).
I also had the guess how many jellybeans in the bottle game. I had about five prizes on hand for this. Just fill up a baby bottle (I did two sizes, a four oz. for the kids and a 8 oz. for the ladies). Whoever guesses the correct amount (or comes close), they win! I had on hand prizes and favors for the kids too. They are easily entertained with just cheap toys and coloring books/crayons.

I was at a shower 3 years ago and we did this really fun game. You have to put one arm around a partner and you each use your free arm to diaper and dress a baby doll. Whoever wins gets a prize (at the time Bath & Body Works were selling small gift boxes of gel and lotions so they were the gifts. $10 each I think). I've also heard of Baby Shower Bingo.

We did the dirty diaper game for my friend's shower last December -- we used Nutella for the 'dirty' diaper! It looked too realistic, but everyone thought it was funny!!!!
We also did a puzzle where you had to unscramble baby-related words (playpen, grandma, swing, crib, etc.).
Then we did the baby food tasting game -- buy a few different jars of baby food -- take off the labels and re-label them with numbers (keep a list of what's what for yourself -- i.e 1-peas, 2-carrots, etc.) Whoever guesses the most wins a prize. We actually had tables compete against each other -- each table had 4 or 5 baby food jars (of the same foods, of course), and whatever table guessed the most correctly won (each person got a small prize). It made the game a lot easier to run, but we wasted soooo much baby food!!
