I think some kind of CP will be nice.. You can always buy some cheap glass vases- all the same. Then go to the flower shop and buy bunches of flowers-- as opposed to getting CP s made..
For lights- I would go to an outdoor store- like Harrah's or something.

Re: E-Party Question
Wow, that sounds exactly like my e-party last year! I loved the outside tent idea. We actually made our own centerpieces for the tables. We did floating candles in a nice bowl with some rose petals around the edge. I got the stuff from Party City and I think my mom got the bowls from either Walmart or Michaels. It was nice except I couldn't keep the candles lit because of the wind! And christmas lights in august...hmm, maybe one of those christmas outlet stores. I know there's one at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. But hopefully someone has a better idea (some place closer).

Re: E-Party Question
For my engagement party I bought glass vases from a dollar store (they were really pretty crystal looking vases) and then bought 3 bunches of mixed flowers from Costco ($12.99 a bunch I think) and made up the centerpieces myself. They came out great and cost less than $50!
As for the lights, I would try Harrow's as someone else had suggested.
Good Luck!

Re: E-Party Question
My e-party was at my FH's house. I hung white lights along the tent and got white roses as centerpieces, with votive candles. It looked really pretty.

Re: E-Party Question
We are doing the same thing, same day! My mom bought little green vases from the dollar store to put little flowers in. And I believe our tent and chairs, etc comes with lights. You should call and ask them.

Re: E-Party Question
We had a tent party too. We used small glass bowls we bought at Micheals, added shells and colored sea glass (also bought it at Michaels) and added floating candles. We had balloons tied to the corners of the tent poles and it looked very festive.
We also used citronella candles - those are a must in summer weather in my opinion! If you can't find them in the stores this time of year, try looking on the web.
Good luck!

Re: E-Party Question
I would check Target for both lights and citronella candles ... or even Home Depot.
