ONE OF MY BM'S JUST BACKED OUT - SHE CAN'T AFFORD IT - Which I totally understand but it just burns because I was in her wedding a year ago and spent the money on her...and it just would of been nice to have it in return.

Don't feel bad. If she cannot afford it, then it;'s better you know now than later. I think you should be happy that she told you. I doubt the only reason you participated in her wedding was in the expectation that she would be in yours.

That really does stink...and I know that you shouldn't get upset about you being in hers and spending a lot of money....but I would still be a little annoyed.

her reason was that she can't afford it - it just rubs me the wrong way (i don't want to sound like a b*tch - but if you all knew what I had to go thru for her wedding you would all understand)

Don't get me wrong, I understand how $$ being in a wedding party can be - but if you really want to be a part of one, you can find a way to afford it - I know I did for hers...I just wished for the same in return.

I am so sorry- that really sux. I may be in a similar sitch AGAIN with you and BM's.. just had one of mine email me and say she can't afford to buy a BM dress yet-- who knows where that will lead.. I want to just fire all my BM's.. ever feel that way?

Yes I do!

Look on the bright side of her backing out now, at least she didn't get agree and then not put in 100% of herself like I'm guessing you did for her. I think in the long run that would have been more upsetting, seeing someone in the wedding who really didn't want to be there (even if it was just b/c of a financial strain). Weddings are expensive to be in and you wouldn't want her not contributing to anything that your other bridesmaids did, that would make the other girls upset too.

I'm sorry for that! I think its worse that you did it for her and not vice versa....I asked all my girls with plenty of time to save up...I know its a lot of money BUT I figured I would gladly do ( and have) the same thing for them, and treat it as an honor!

I have had one drop out too so I know the disappointment and hurt feelings that come from it...We lost our JR. bm too because her mom couldnt afford it or get her A** to go get her daughter measured...

Try not to let hard feelings ruin your friendship...

I really don't want it to - I am going to send her an email tomorrow letting her know that I am not mad but upset blah, blah, blah - my mom thinks that I should just let it be but I feel that I should let her know how I feel.

When it comes to seating arrangments, I'm sure gonna remember this haha sorry, I'm really trying not to be a b*cth but it's just hard
