ps...montauk/hamptons and greenport are on different forks - so its a ride (you can cut through shelter island if you take the ferries) otherwise you have to go all the way around through riverhead.

greenport is great! My in laws have a lavendar farm a little past greenport - you can buy all sorts of fun things there (if you like lavendar!) Across the street from the farm is a GREAT greek restaurant - if you go there you have to have the lemonade - its fresh - and amazing!!

We went Pumpkin Picking at this farm. We had a blast. Check it out! They just open this past weekend.

You absolutely MUST stop at Levain Bakery in Wainscott (East Hampton) .. (354 Main Street) .. especially if you like cookies!! These are incredibly amazing!!
Just wanted to add .. the show Unwrapped on the Food Network did a special segment on this shop .. that's how good the place is!

East Hampton: Blue Parrot or The Laundry good for dinner/drinks
Bostwick's is good if you like seafood
you could go to the Star Room for drinks after dinner. (Not 100% sure that they are still open )
