It's great that there is such a big demand for them. I work for a cancer research/care facility, so I can get them pretty easily.

But you're right - no matter when you wear it, you will be helping to combat BC!!

I think it is great too... I just hope it doesn't become meaningless fashion like the ribbons did...althought they are makign a strong comeback as well

Totally agree! In fact, I am usually anti-ribbon for the very reason that it's just an empty symbol. In all honesty, I probably wouldn't be wearing a bracelet if we weren't being instructed to by our bosses. BC is on my mind EVERY DAY, not just the day I wear a bracelet!

I think the research is so important. In my mom's remission group they were given a pamphlet that the BC rate on LI is now 1 in 7 as opposed to the previous 1 in 9. It is getting worse, even with the heightened awareness and education.

First of all, I'm so happy to hear that your mom is in something called a 'remission group' - that's got to be a good thing.

The problem with stats is that they are hard to interpret. Maybe it appears that the risk is getting greater simply BECAUSE more women are aware and having regular checkups - where before many of them would die from undiagnosed disease.

Thanks! Yes, my mom is in remission from BC, so it is Def a good thing.

They addresses the stats, and how that b/c of more services offering mammograms and such that the numbers may not be actually increasing, but the number of reported/discovered cases are.

So did I. My Mom passed away from Breast Cancer so it means a lot to me. I want a cure to be found before I lose someone else I love.

I just ordered them!!! Of course, on back order. I also have the LIVESTRONG yellow bracelet that is in support of all cancers. I am a thyroid cancer survivor, so livestrong has sort of become my new motto

I have my bracelet on as well. I was at the right place at the right time tues. AM when z100 annouced Greg T. was at commack Target. I was able to swing in there and pick up a bracelet. Also this AM I clipped my pink ribbon to my work bag. We need to find a cure! I know 2 survivors and 3 that have been diagnosed this year! I want to show all the support I can!

The yellow bracelets were for something else. I can't remember what but I think it was also for cancer but not BC.

I think some one said it had something to do with all cancer. I want both.

I looked on the Target web site you can order the pink ones but you can only order them 10 at a time? Thats fine I will hand them out to my friends and family but just wondering if I am crazy and missed the singles?

the yellow ones were created by/for Lance Armstrong (survived testicular cancer---bicyclist).....I didn't know there were pink ones out.....I'm going to try to find one now.
