I agree. If they're otherwise the same (except for that fancy schmancy digital readout on the second one), I'd go with the bigger one.

I have a hard time answering this, but wanted to give you some input. I have a crockpot already and have not used it much b/c I live alone. I guess my advice is to think about storage, because you may not want it on your counter all the time. The top one looks a little smaller in size and honestly, you turn it on and leave it alone, so do you really need all the bells and whistles? JMO.

As for the cooking part, I don't think there is much difference between 5 1/2 qt. or 6 qt.

I had to laugh when i saw this thread. I got 3 for my e-party, still don't know what they do, but FH insisted on registering for one!!!

i dont know about crockpots at all i guess i will get what every you decide to register for though.
