well you have plenty of time so you cabn always add them... and the reason i say yes and i agree with you is..... because if her daughter is having a smaller wedding than it is a more intimate wedding so they must be close otherwise they would not be invitedthat is weird

Don't feel bad, you FMIL made the list. A similiar situation occurred with us, but it wasn't really a big deal. The people who weren't at our wedding but at my hubby's sister's wedding aren't very close to us. And honestly they were NOT missed.

Wow thats a tough situation! I would say invite the people if you know them....if you dont, forget it. You cant invite everyone yu ever met to your wedding and people understand that. Im sure FSIL wont be inviting everyone you invited to her wedding either. I wouldnt worry about it. People do understand. If FMIL just thought of them now, how close friends/family can they be anyway?

I definetly think its rude. And im sorry buy you can't always say the mil is rude because she didn't invite them. Its ure wedding. I had this problem with my shower my mother in law told my friend that her sil's didn't have to come... well they do so i had her invite them. cause im sorry but who looks like the bad guy,
