Re: Advice and the Holidays
I feel that if you spend the holiday with FH and his family you might make more trouble for yourself and its not worth it from whatyou are saying. Why dont you have the dinner with your family grin adn bare it and keep your mouth shut as much as possible. Iknow that is really not a solution but before your wedding and before more trouble can get started be the better person and just show up. Remeber you cant pick your family.

Re: Advice and the Holidays
Has your brother given you a reason? Is he like this with your other siblings? Have your parents invited everyone? I would hate to miss out on Thanksgiving with my family
so, I think I would go despite your brother's being there. It may seem uncomfortable, but if it has to happen, a blow-up may be just the thing to clear the air. Could you talk to your brother ahead of time and mention you are concerned about his attitude towards you...?good luck

Re: Advice and the Holidays
I TOTALLY agree with t there.....Maybe you can do the split family thing.. talk it over with your mom and lay it out like this...
'mom, (FH name here)'s mom and dad invited us for thanksgiving as well.. as not to offend either family (FH) and I were thinking about splitting family time.. In other words Dinner at his mothers house and dessert with you and dad... You know I love your Apple crisp...'
So its not that offensive to your mom..??? Just a suggestion.. This is what we did when we were still dating to avoid unwanted circumstances... Feel free to FM me! Good Luck!!

I like this logic.
Since he's the one with the problem, why can't HE spend the holiday elsewhere?
ETS: I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. It sounds like an awful situation.

Re: Advice and the Holidays
go and ignore everybody
Honestly, I would just go. If you start getting annoyed by whatis going on or said I would just go over to FH and his family and cut the holiday time between the two families this way you spend it with both and nobody can say later on that you always do this or that. I hope that madse sense for you
