I am allergic to the real thing, I think we got a good price at franks last year, maybe they still have some on close out?

Re: Anyone buy an artificial tree?
we bought a fake tree last year after our first Christmas's real tree FELL OVER two years ago!! After waking up that morning to broken ornaments all over the place and a water soaked rug - we decided right then and there that we would NOT be doing the real tree thing again! Oh, also the lean up was SUCH a hassle! Just getting it out the front door with all those dry needles..... pine needles were still showing up on the floor in June! Instead of the real tree now, we just get real pine branches and I drape them over the fireplace - it looks really nice and we still have the real tree smell with a fraction of the clean up! :)
We actually found a very nice pre-lit tree at Home Depot of all places - it's really pretty when it's all decorated, and we never have to deal with tangled strings of lights either :) Goes up in about 2 minutes and it's the best!

we did, it's a 6ft pre-let christmas tree, really cheap by the way, and we bought it artificial because we are going away for 2 and a half weeks, it was going to be dead when we come back, didn't want that to happen.

Re: Anyone buy an artificial tree?
I bought a 7.5' pre-lit at Fortunoff. (It's for our dining room. We use a real tree in our family room.) Here are some pics:
I normally hate fake trees, but I think they've come a long way. And the pre-lit trees are a Godsend!!!! Ohhh...and the one I liked happened to be the cheapest one Fortunoff had! It was $150. I thought that was pretty reasonable. Home Depot and the like were charging the same price.

Re: Anyone buy an artificial tree?
i bought mine at target. it's pre-lit 4.5 feet tall. it's pretty nice, although i'm sure there are nicer out there. it's just temporary anyway until we get a house. but it was cheap and that was the main factor for us.

Re: Anyone buy an artificial tree?
We bought ours at Harrow's last year, also pre-lit---I do forget how much it was though--but I do know it wasnt so bad......maybe $130?
It was worth it......no more walking around the Christmas tree 100 times to put the lights on perfect--when they're already done for you.....Every Year!
Good Luck Christmas Tree Shopping!

Re: Anyone buy an artificial tree?
I have one and I love it. You save a tree, it looks real, you can't kill it, you're less likely to start a fire, and needles don't fall off everywhere! Plus, you don't have to go out and buy one every year!
ETA: Jenny, I love the color scheme in your dining room! Gawjuss!

We have to have a fake one, the cats can't handle the real ones.
