I think it depends on the school

I took classes this past summer. The classes were just longer than normal. Instead of being almost 2 hours each they were 3 hours each and met twice a week.

At Dowling they were twice a week, 3 hours each time (and not as much work as the regular session classes, because we 'didn't have as much time' Fine with me!! Most of the professors would take out a paper or two from the course requirements because the classes were only a few weeks long. It was great!

yup...loved doing summer sessions at dowling. got my thesis done and wasn't as stressed out! longer classes but they would give you more breaks and the time was there for discussions.

no...i went for my masters and b/c most people work or have families get their masters and therefore, professors are a bit more understanding.

Adelphi has Sunday cycles which is great during the year. Class lasts 8 weeks and then your on to your next. I started in Sept and am already working on 12 credits. The summer is like every one else described....a few hours a day, usually twice a week

You guys lucked out. I had my summer sessions at Dowling with Farenga and he gave us MORE than he gave the students in the regular semester just to prove a point. I didn't luck out with any of my summer sessions there actually. And I took a lot!

My summer and winter sessions at Dowling were so easy, and a lot less work... because of them I was able to do my entire Masters in a year!!

I took a summer session at Dowling. One class meet twice a week and one meet once a week. The class that meet twice a week had less weeks although I can't remember how many weeks it was all together.
