That is the thing...........I had my friends there. So I have no idea why he even asked to take me home
i think the reason is obvious..

Jenny my question would be more to my friends as to why they allowed him to take me home and not them! Knowing what you guys have been through and the things that he has said and done to you, I would think that your friends would try to keep him from you PERIOD!

Re: so, would you be mad at your boy/girl-friend if....
I am confused about the question...really don't understand what you are asking...but I once (when me and DH were dating) caught a ride home with my ex boyfriend. Absolutely nothing happened but i felt a little guilty about it and told DH the next day. I was not thinking like I want to talk to my ex or was hoping anything happened, i was just drunk and needed a ride home and he was the only one driving. DH was fine with it because we trust each other. He was not drunk though and would of never accepted a ride home if he was. My ex even talked to my DH about it the next time we saw him out and apologized for it and my DH said not to sweat it because he actually likes my ex and knew it was innocent on both of our parts...but i swore to never do it again...because it just looks bad to leave a bar with an ex when other people know you and your boyfriend. No matter your intentions.

ok, I think clarification is needed.
No I have no boy-friend, but the ride home, last I though, had a girl friend...but I did not care enough to ask (that makes me sound interested in his lief and I'm not really)
Second I am not talking about my ex-FH. My friends would NEVER let me near him with them around again!!!
Do you think his intentions was to hook up with you?

Ok still doesn't change my answer- When I go out with my friends I leave with my friends PERIOD! We are responsible for one another not our ex's.
If it were my boyfriend who drove home his ex-girlfriend I would not be happy.
But to me- you go out with friends you come home with your friends.

I disagree....i think it depends on the people involved. If my DH accepted a ride from his exgirlfriend because he was drunk i would be okay with it. They were a long time ago and my DH is just not the cheating kind. I would be a little worried if i felt his ex was trying to get back into his life but that is not the case with his ex either. So i think every situation is different.
As for the going out with friends thing, when you are all going out drinking that does not always happen. Some people leave to go hook up (not at my age much anymore but a few years back it was a norm), some people leave early. If its a local place with people you know you might go home with other people you know you meet out at the bar. Now that i am married i usually leave earlier then my single girlfriends.

I just figured I'd ask.
I know I would be furious if my boyfriend told me he drove home his ex girlfriend, who was drunk. and EVEN MORE SO, if she had a ride home.
I really don't think he thought we'd hook up.
ME TOO!!!!
Maybe even though he didn't think you would hook-up per say, but rather open the lines of communication again!

1. if that is true then why would you have felt guilty when you did it and NEED to tell you bf the next day?
And in this case there WERE people to drive her home!
