Honestly, the older you are, the less time you have to wait. 7 years when you are 60 means a lot more than 7 years that started when you were 16. Like Harry said in When Harry Met Sally, when you know you met the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start right now. It isn't stealing your thunder, and hopefully she respects you enough not to get married the same month... But if my mom was in the same situation, I would just be happy that she found someone that made her happy enough for her to decide to spend the rest of her life with. Their decision doesn't have anything to do with you.
