Re: Another HAWAII question!!!!

We went to Oahu and Kauai. We didn't book anything ahead of time. We got info while we were there from the hotel. In Kauai we did the Luau at the Hyatt in Poipu Beach. I had a great time! I don't know how it compares to others because it is the only Luau we did.
We did a sunset dinner cruise but that was on Oahu. We got the Entertainment book and saved 1/2 price on the cruise with the book. That book has a lot of money saving coupons in it... you should get it!

Re: Another HAWAII question!!!!

We went to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui. The only things we booked in advance were the Luau and the helicopter ride. We went to the luau at the Hyatt in Poipu, Maui, where we were staying We really enjoyed it! The other popular one on Maui is the Old Lahaina Luau. We ended up changing the date of our luau when we got there, to accomodate some other things we wanted to do, and it wasn't a problem, so I don't know if you necessarily have to do it in advance.

We did the helicopter ride with Air Kauai, and it was amazing. I think we could have waited to book it until we were there, though.

We didn't go on any dinner cruises, so I can't help you there. Feel free to FM me with any questions. Hawaii was so amazing!

Re: Another HAWAII question!!!!

We didnt book anything ahead of time. Like Julz we went on the dinner cruise in Oahu, for full price I would have been disappointed, but at 1/2 off it was okay, it was the Atlantis. We also did snorkling there and went to pearl harbor, we booked all when we got htere!
In Maui we stayed at the Renissance in Waliea and they have a Luan so we went there and really enjoyed it. We also did the road to hana, went snorkling, did a sunset cocktail cruise (ali'nui) which we had a ton of fun doing.
And booked everything through the hotel when we got there! It was really easy!
Have fun, Dh and I say at least 1 a week how we wish we were back there!!!

Re: Another HAWAII question!!!!

This past summer we went to Kauai with FH's parents. We went to the luau att he Princeville Hotel, which was a lot of fun, but like one of the girls who posted I've never been to any other luau to compare.

We didn't do a dinner cruise, but one other thing I would reccommend is taking a catamaran ride. We did the Blue Dolphin catamaran tour which traces the Napali coast-- we saw all sorts of dolphins and turtles and got great pictures of the mountains whee they filmed jurassic Park. They also give you breakfast and lunch on board, and at some point during the trip, you can snorkel or scuba.

Have fun!

We didn't book anything in advance. We should have booked the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui ahead of time. We heard it was the best, but when we got there they were booked for the next three months. We went ot the one at the Hyatt instead. I liked it, DH wasn't too thrilled.

We didn't really want to book anything ahead of time because we didn't want to have to do anything once we got there.

Re: Another HAWAII question!!!!

We went to Kauai for 2 and half weeks we stayed at the princeville hotel which was beautiful for one week and then we had a villa for the next week also up in princeville!! I would recommend going to Beach House for dinner one night it's in Po'ipu amazing food and u need a reservation!! U want a table view right on the water side tell them and u want to go before sunset and get your picture taken right there!! So pretty it is on the south side of the island!! Have to go!! We did the helicopter tour with Hela USA wouldn't use them again!! Do the catamaran, snorkeling gear definitely rent it for the week and just leave it in the car!! Also u should rent a jeep we did and it was the best thing to have there!! Book it early and get a good rate we paid for the 2 and half weeks I think like $700.00 and if we didn't book on line it would of been over a $1,000 for the jeep! Also Kauai ATV, and also take a surf lesson it was so much fun!!! Now I can't wait for this summer to go out and surf with my husband who has been begging me for the past 9 years!

Other food restaurants to go to in Kauai
