Hi I dont have a pic but im sure you have seen them the silver double hearts, i wanted to do the wax but was soooooo afraid of making a mistake and messing up the envelopes. I had them hand calligraphered and I would die if I had to try and write like that.

i didn't actually buy seals - I love blue roses so I had gotten a navy blue stamp bad and a beautiful rose stamp and I'm going to put those on the back of the envelopes. Navy blue is the color of the girls dresses.

I ordered them from www.CandyWrapperStore.com
You can create your own and they have lots of pictures to choose from. They were pretty cheap too.

Out of all things that FH decided to have an opinion on...he states the other day that he would like to wax seal all the envelopes...

I started to laugh- but then told him that wax seals are kind of expensive just to be thrown out.

Apparently when I went out he did a little research on wax seals: 1) if you don't know what you are doing, they can get kind of messy. 2) a lot of times b/c of mailiing they get cracked or broken 3) if doing wax seals you have to go to the Post office and have them mailed a certain way...

Good thing he decided way too much effort. We are sticking with stickers. (no pun intended).

where did you get that wax seal.. Was it hard? Was it messy? expensive?

I made them using a brass seal and colored hot glue (since real wax is more expensive and cracks, etc..)

It was a little time consuming but not overly expensive or hard to do. Im pretty comfortable with a glue gun so it wasnt messy but if you've never used one, it could get a little messy.

there are two websites i am looking at to do fauxwax with:

old school seals

Also, oldschoolseals has a service where they actually make a monogrammed seal for you and then send it as a sticker and you just apply it to the envelope.

we made wax seals and then glues them on ith a hot glue gun for our save the dates. i regret all the time and money that went into making them though because a lot of them were cracked when people received them. they look beautiful, but i would def not do it again.
