neon stirrup pants I loved those feather things Gitano big belts, hooked crooked
My favorite outfit was a huge Champion sweatshirt or a big button down shirt with leggings and scrunchy socks with my Keds. (jr. high)
Oh my goodness...the Champion Sweatshirt outfit...I had several. Did anyone ever cut the neck off the sweatshirt? This used to be a trend in my high school. One other thing...AQUA NET!!

Oh boy. I had Umbro shorts and T-shirts. I thought I was cool. Scary thing is that I didn't like the way they looked on my legs, so I wore spandex lace edged bike shorts under them.

How about ID shirts. They looked faded on on the outside and bright on the inside. There was a pocket on the left hand side that had ID printed there.

Those headbands that you wore across your forehead- I think they were big in the early 80s. I think I had a bunch when I was in 4th grade. I saw a kid with something around her neck today that made me think of those.
I also loved my Jordasche pocketbooks- I had a few. Cranberry velvet and navy velvet, and a white fake leather one.

Ok.... those barrettes with the leather straps and feathers that I thought were SOOOOOO cool....?
Roach clips....
Ladies.... we were wearing roach clips. Didn't any of our PARENTS notice that the part that clipped on was not conducive to 'hair adornment'...?
By the way.... I figured this out in college when my older roommate had one..... and she wasn't wearing it.
Also.... the HUGE scrunched socks? I used to sew the ends of legwarmers closed and wear them! I had the BIGGEST SOCKS ever - with my white keds....
Amy
PS. My other favorite was all the 'florescent' wear.... AHHHHH, the eighties, the only time it was encouraged to wear bright green and orange....

Wow this is totally bringing back memories...
Tracy, I'm with you the Farlows I still have no idea about (another Queens girl here).
Also what about the double heart rings and ankle bracelets you attached to a necklace?
The Puma sneakers or else the sneakers with the fat laces?
At our catholic high school (Mary Louis) we'd unbutton the top buttons of our blouses and have colored tanktops underneath and layer our socks as well.
I think you guys hit on everything else

What about the hair barrettes that we made with the thin ribbons braided onto them and the tails hung down. I had them in so many colors. My mom made them for me.

hahaa I do. I remember I spent all my babysitting money on a pair of farlows. How stupid was I? I would never spend that much money on jeans now.
