FH and I have been going back and forth about inviting everyone with a guest. We were thinking of inviting the ones who have significant others with a guest and the ones that don't without. the only problem is there are one or 2 friends who don't know many people so we have them bring a guest.
I think it is ok if you invite them w/o a guest. If they aren't involved with anyone and they know other people there then it should be fine.

We are inviting singles to our wedding. If you are not in a serious relationship, engaged or married - you get to come alone...there will be plenty of others for them to mingle with and if your friends all know each other, well that's a bonus.

I think its totally acceptable for you to not include a guest if none of them are in a serious relationship, as long as it applies to everyone. It would be wrong if you allowed all your other non committed friends to bring a guest of their choice and singled out only those invited from your 'B' list. You dont want them talking to other guests and finding out that they were given the same chance as everyone else.

That is how FH feels.

Re: Is this not right of me to do?
i invited all my single guests from my A and B list with a guest. i want my guests to have a great time and be relaxed and comfortable. i didnt want anyone to feel by themselves or lonely looking around at all the other couples. i put myself in their position and i know i like going to a wedding with a guest,(when i was single of course, LOL) so i made sure i gave the same choice to mine. thats just my opinion though.

Although we are not inviting any 'and guests' (only those with significant others), I can see the reasoning behind the all or none strategy. Since you still have time, maybe wait and see if you get more no's and then invite them with a guest?

I'm just going to invite them with a guest...it's only 3 extra people, and I don't want to offend anyone. I'm pretty sure they will come alone anyway. Thanks for all you advice.

my FH agrees with your FH, but I agree with you. There's nothing wrong with inviting without a guest - we all have budgets and I'm sure people understand that.

Im planning on doing the same thing as cresthollowbride. I just think some may enjoy themselves more.
