OK...at our wedding:
FBIL and FSIL brought thier FIVE CHILDREN, including one baby, one 2 year old, one 4 year old, one 6 year old and one 8 year old. We were a little nervous about the baby too...but if the mother/father are polite and there is a problem, they will leave the ceramony area with baby. We had NO problem at all. It was an outdoor ceramony and there was music and everything..but baby was happy.
If it's in a catholic church, i'd say teh chances are better that the baby will make noise. If theey hear the echo of thier voice, they will want to play with it, so hope again taht they sit near the isle.

Honestly, baby cooing can be a blessing at a wedding. It brings a lightheartedness and sweetness that might be missing if children were not present.
in total, tehre were 9 children at ours...and they make the best pictures!
