I was Two and a half weeks late once and avoided testing because i was so afraid that I would be, but I got it and was so happy so I do know that it can happen since i was regular also..i noticed the lder i am getting the more my cycle changes. stressing about it will delay it so tell her to relax or just test to put her mind at ease.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but PEOPLE DO GET PREGNANT WHEN THE USE BC!!!

I guess I just assume everyone is careful when they do not want to get pregnant. It's sad really. We used two forms just to make sure until we got married.

Well I know people who got pregnant using condoms and people on this very board have gotten pregnant using the pill.

Yup, so using both would lower your chances that much more. Whatever, I just think people should be careful.

And people are careful when they use protection.

Of course using protection is careful. But to me it is like if someone said there are two belts to fasten when you parachute--you could do just one, and be 70% sure of not dying, or do both and be 100% certain. I would always err on the side of caution. It isn't hard to use a condom and pills--I did it until I got married. I didn't want to have a baby until I was ready. I am not preaching, I just wish more people used a couple forms of BC so fewer accidents would happen. I hope for her sake (and for the baby that may be born or not born) she isn't pregnant.

People can be extremely careful and surprises can still happen. No form of BC is 100% (besides abstinence) and there is room for human error with almost every form of BC. And yes, you can lower your chances by combining, but there it's still not 100%.

The saftey belts were still made by people who are not perfect.
