Umm...not really. We dont have the best relationship, but sometimes we are fine with each other. I guess it depends what mood she is in.

My FI and her had problems when we first started dating so she took her anger out on me i guess, not that she was nasty she just wasn't the friendlist person to be around, but over the past few years she's gotten better now that their relationship has ...she's sweet, i guess i just have to get over what happened a few years ago and i'm hard headed about it...it's going to be hard to call her 'mom' next year when we get married, i think it's so weird cause she's not my mom haha

some moms just think nothing is good enough for their precious boys....it will be hard, but you will be the 'better person' to just let it go.
I have a very touch and go relationship with my FMIL. unfortunately, when she gets angry at something FH does, she takes her anger out of me- at one point, she barely spoke to me for over a year!
if you are up for it, just keep trying. hopefully she will turn around. Good luck!
Mine does the same thing! I've seen a couple girls post similar habits. I had no idea my FMIL wasn't the only one. Very strange characteristic....take your anger out on the wrong person

I am the forever diplomat. I will be polite and I will be respectful. But with me she sees a strong-willed woman and she sees a loss of control (over her son) and the loss of hr workhorse. I just hope she realizes that she will no longer be his #1 priority. Shoot, even I know I wont be once the kids come!

We've had our moments, she is losing her baby and I'm sure doesn't think I can care for him as well as she does (well that's up for debate as well, it's a long story the 05 girls know, so I won't go there again) but she is much better and less of a butt-in with her strong opinions and buying things for us without asking if it's even something we like.
