I'll admit to 16 candles, but I don't think I've ever seen the princess bride or the little mermaid.

Never saw neverending story or Secret of the Nymph either. But I did see Dark Crystal (LOVED IT!) as well as Labrynth (I had the hots for David Bowie back in the day - ewwwhhhh!!) and what was that one with Tom Cruise running around half naked? Legend???

Sharon, I get cr@p from peopel, ( especailly DH ) ALL the time, for not having seen 'classic ' movies, especially from the 80's or anything Disney.

Don't let them bully you!
I've never even heard of Secret of Nymph, & I don't think I've seen Dark Crystal.

ETA- Yes that was Legend, but I've never seen that either.

My husband is socaially defunct when it comes to ANY childhood movies. No Star Wars, no Wizard of OZ, no muppet movies, Willy Wonka, March of the Wooden Soldiers, nothing. I asked him what he did watch and he was like Dukes of Hazzard

I had to explain what 'the Lee' of something was once, and I flashed-back to the book AND movie!!!

I know most of the lyrics to Little Mermaid, I can recite 'Empire Records' and '10 things I hate about you', and when Mr Boots and I bicker I always shout 'Liar! Liar! Liiiiiii-aaaaaaaaar!!'


Does Mr Boots the Condo Cowboy retort with Get Back WITCH!

I think my Mom was mentally beat down by the time she got to me (last of five) that she didn't care WHAT I was watching. I was never big into TV per say but I liked going to movies. Even now, I couldn't even tell you what is 'in' or what is the program to watch.

Charlie & the Chocolate factory I've seen. In college.
I lived 2 block from the library, but I dodn't remeber them showign movies. I was too busy reading my Cam Jansen & encyclopedia Brown books.

My mom was also kinda strict with tv & movies-- I wasn't allowed to see Gremlins or Adventures in Babysitting & or any horror movies.

Dh couldn't believe I had never seen Jaws, either.

I did go to the movies though, I saw Annie, all the back to the Futures, all the Karate Kids. . .

DH is an only child & sometimes & thing his parents just left in front of the tv with a bowl of sprinkles all weekend.

Ditto on that! It is so sad cause I run out to the ice cream man more often than the kids down the street.....and i'm on a 'diet' I can cut calories but just can't cut out the ice cream!

That was based on a true story. He is 'creative'-- he also tried to make is own peanut butter once.

You'd think with 2 adults & 1 child, they would have kept a better eye on him.
