Re: A BOWL OF SPRINKLES!

wow- I'll have to tell Jean that he inspired a thread. I will try & get the whole story from him again tonight, if you want to know details abotu the bowl of sprinkles.

I like the one about running out of words

My mom loves to tell the story of how I fell asleep on the back steps in the middle of playing with dolls.

Me & my brother & our tomboy neighbor believe that if she acted like a boy she would turn into one
(she is now a beautiful mother of 3!)

A neighbor friend & I were makign collages out of teh Jc Penney & Sears catalong & seh convinced me we she sell them to neighbors for a dime! ( I got in SOOOO much trouble)

On girlscout camping trips, I would make peanut butter & cheese sandwhiches.

BTW- Liz, why were you feeding a cow in the first place?

My brother and I convinced my little sister that we could speak Chinese. It was hilarious- especially when she starting crying to my mom that she wanted Chinese lessons too!
She still talks about it.

As the older sis I convinced my brother to put his finger in the Christmas light socket (checker) at Garden World. The guy stopped him just as he was about to do it and got my dad.

Second I convinced him to put his finger in the pliers and I squeezed them until his little finger was bleeding.

My older cousin got me though...she and my brother convinced me that she was really giving my brother a needle in his arm (it was just the casing, not the needle) & I ran crying to my mom.

I remember going to the circus (after seeing the commercials for weeks of kids oohing & aahhing in the audience) and really exaggerating my facial expressions thinking they would use me in their new commercials.

We convinced my neighbor that if we cut her hair, you could just comb it and it would grow back instantly even longer (we were 5 or 6). We got spanked for that one. She ran home crying and my mom got a call.

When I was a teenager I convinced my 7 year old cousin that I was good friends with Elmo from Sesame Street and whenever I spoke to her on the phone I would tell her that I had Elmo over and we were hanging out. So she wouldn't believe that he was there and I'd put him on the phone! I did a really good Elmo voice and I told her that I wanted her for my girlfriend to which she responded that she had to ask her dad.

Then she would always complain that Elmo never came to visit me when she did.

I was doing cartwheels in my living room and landed on a glass table. There was a piece of a glass sticking about 1/2 inch out of my leg for almost a year. I wouldn't let anyone touch it. The skin grew around it. Eventually it fell out.

My brother and I used to do 'routines', but ours were like figure skating routines, but not on skates. One day he had me on his shoulders and he started walking too close to the ceiling fan (which was on) and I started yelling 'Burp, Charlie, Burp!' He almost dropped me he was laughing so hard.

PS: Isn't a bowl of sprinkles a rather pricey snack for a kid???

My next door neighbor, a boy who was the same age as me and a major nerd, claimed to be this great magician and escape artist. So me and my brother tied him to a tree to see if he could escape and left him there

Oh, it was a tree in his backyard
And we took his sister, who was this skinny little thing, and threw her into the pitch-back to see how far she would bounce back

Re: A BOWL OF SPRINKLES!

My sister and I are only 13 months apart, so we used to TORTURE one another. But NOTHING compared to the double-team of hell we put our little brother through....

When my bro was like 6, my sister and I stuffed his footie-pajamas with towels and stuck a cabbage patch doll in the top for a tiny head. We'd scare the crap outta him every time......

Needless to say he can't stand Cabbage Patch dolls.....

My sister also had the bright idea to lay that d@mned doll on the side of Merrick Road - not a good idea. My mom wanted to KILL us....
