I used to work in a n office and had a desk like that......ewwwwwwwwww!
It's gross how much dust can build up....after I did it the first time, I made sure to clean it out regularly

We just moved and have all new furniture, so everything is pretty clean right now. Hopefully I can stay on top of it and keep it that way.

There's probably dust from 20 years ago. Worse are the crumbs and food particles. And my secretary was just trimming her toe nails. There are probably some nails in there too.

Believe me when I say that is only the tip of the iceburg. But as a state union employee she can almost change a tampon in the middle of the office and she won't be fired.

And, Beth - EEEEEWWWW
And RE: Changing a tampon - I happened upon an episode of Nip n Tuck last night in which a young girl was suffering from a mysterious illness and it wasn't until her mother got down between her legs and fished on out a tampon that they realized she had TSS She was just trying it out... I was just like - You can do that on TV???

I think so. I don't watch it on a regular basis so I'm not sure.
