me and 4 of my girls are a size D and we are all wearing strapless, just make sure it's not low, our boobs are not hanging out at all. It all depends on the dress but you can get away with a strapless dress with girls with big boobs.

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
I felt silly asking her, but when I went with one of my DD cup BMs to try on dresses, I asked her to raise her arms, hop up and down, etc. to see if she had coverage in certain dresses. We didn't stick with one designer but we did find a strapless gown that keeps the girls covered.

If the dress fits properly strapless shouldn't be an issue.

Wow and she wan'st annoyed at you or embarrased? Thanks for sharing that makes me feel better.
We were in our own area that was closed off. She wasn't embarrassed - I did feel like a jerk though!

I used to be a DD... i was NEVER comfortable wearing strapless... but that was my own thing... empire waste gowns were always very flattering for me...

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
That's funny, I'm a C cup and for my cousin's wedding I DIDN'T want an empire waist gown because it made my chest look HUGE!!! (Guess what we ending up getting anyway!!)

I am getting a strapless bridesmaid dress with a chiffon halter so it kind of has both! My big chested bridesmaids will feel more comfortable. Jordan #714

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
What if they wore a shawl with the strapless gown. I personaly dont think it looks bad considering Im a D myself How about a halter top(the two pieces). Also the bm in my brothers wedding was alittle busty and they wore strapless and looked very pretty.

I wore a halter dress for my cousin's wedding and hated the way it made my chest look. I guess it's all about the cut, design and fabric.

I guess the material of the dress, chiffon, may have made a difference?! My sister who is a DDD looked terrific in it!

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
i'm a DD and i love strapless dresses - they just have to be the right size. otherwise, the material that's supposed to cover your boobs is too small and you end up with super-cleave. i'm anti-empire and anti-halter myself but i guess we're all a little different, which is why i'd ask them. don't assume strapless a problem, but try to make sure they won't be uncomfortable and self-conscious all night either.

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
I'm a full DD and I ALWAYS wear strapless if you have a good bra and a good seamstress, it's not a problem at all. I have boogied the night away in strapless and never been exposed at all. it's all about the bra (I use a corset.bustier type) and the seamstress!

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
I have o add I can't wear anything empire. It's supposed to make your tummy look tiny, but it akes my boob look HUGEEEEEEEEEEE!
And then since it's empiere, there's a very specific amount of space where the boobs go (you can't pull up or down usually), so you need a big big suze to get enough fabric. I think a boned gown with a lot of structure and a tapered waist is SO flattering!
ETA: Also, I think the only people strapless looks awkward on are the flat chested people, they have nothing to hold it up so to speak and the gown always has like air pockets at the top. LOL

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
I'm busty also - the first time I ever wore a strapless dress was last weekend, for my e-party.
The dress was a stretchy material, and had boning to keep it up, and surprisingly, I was totally comfortable.
Halters are bad for me (squish 'em together), and empire waist is the WORST! I always look swollen and preggo in those.

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
They can totally wear a strapless dress as long as its cut high on the chest...some of the dresses are cut low on the top and then you get way too much cleavage. this happend to me in a wedding I was in last year and I felt very self conscience. But I am getting a strapless wedding dress and since its cut high on the top its very flattering. A good long line bra also works miracles!

Re: Help busty bridesmaids...
I have 2 girls in my BP that are quite chesty. They're both wearing strapless dresses and in my opinion, they both actually look smaller in them.
