My company hasn't mentioned it either, but we did for 9/11.
I think we should, especially since 1 co-worker's brother is down there & unaccounted for.
You could send a reply, saying, thanks I did donate, is the company donating as well?

Re: My Company Isn't Donating to Hurricane Relief
Might be worth a shot, but I'd just send it to HR or the person who sent the email to begin with.
My multi-billion dollar company is donating but only by matching us up to a total of $10,000. Means the big spenders are willing to give a whopping $5K . I went with it because at least they'll match my $100 and make it $200, which is more than I can afford to do, but they still seem pretty cheap to me

Re: My Company Isn't Donating to Hurricane Relief
Mine isn't either. Honestly, I am torn. I did donate $250 after Sept. 11th, which was a lot for me. And after I heard some of it went to people who lied about having dead family members, and those that did were getting millions per person. I just wish there was a way of guaranteeing it really is going to get to who needs it most.

Ask them to match your donation. That might prod them into making a donation.

I bet they are donating, but e-mail HR and find out. My firm is matching $ for $ up to $500,000 but I think they will end up donating more.
I donated twice. I can't seem to do enough to make myself feel better about not being physically there to help..

Okay, HR finally responded! I'm very glad to say that I was wrong!
My company did make a large donation, the email was just to prompt employees to donate as well through certain agencies.

This was the email from my job
'This tragic event calls for compassion and concerted action. We have a responsibility to reach out to our fellow citizens who face both an immediate crisis and the prospect of long-term hardship. May our response be swift and generous.'
