If I were you, I would just try to ignore them. Are they calling you or are they crazy in person?

I was just kidding with my response as well.
My secretary is unstable and hostile. I just don't talk to her at all, which is kind of difficult since she sits 5 feet from my office. When she speaks to me I do not make eye contact and don't answer. When I do answer, she manipulates my responses and lies about what I say.
Why is your DH friends with him? Have you told him the friend squicks you? Am I using squicks the right way?
Your secretary needs to be fired.

She made my year by saying she is retiring soon, but I have a feeling it is a cruel joke on me and she is going to say she won't...She has until the last day to change her mind. It plays with my emotions. She is an evil, evil woman. When I first started, she gave me all her work to do. When I finally said no, I am not doing your work for you, she said, 'I didn't realize you weren't competant enough to do some filing.' W T F!? It's HER job!!!!! NOT MINE!

Beth, it must be something in the ...books? We have one who tried to pass on most of her job to me when I began too.

Try to stay calm and rationale with them. And when they get out of control or become irrational, I walk away.
Unfortunately, I have lots of experience with someone like that. I actually live with someone who is like this (not FH). It is not easy.
