I am really sorry that you had to go through this but thank G-d you got out before marriage. I was also burned by a boyfriend that owed me money (only $2500) but sometimes the money is worth getting the scuzzbucket out of your life. You sound like such a strong, confident woman. I am happy for you that you are following your dreams. Best of luck and don't look back and remember that each of life's situations is a learning experience

So sorry to hear this but you are doing the right thing!! It would have been worse later! It's sad to see a wedding get canceled but it's worse to see a marriage that shouldn't have happened! Good luck with school and one day you will find a man worthy of you!!

Good for you for leaving! Who only knows how much longer and how much more $$ he would've stole.

You should walk away with a smile on your face.........b/c it seemed all he had left was you, and now you're gone.

Maybe one day, he can 'fix' himself.

Sorry for all that you went through but like you said it was for the best. Better to know now then after getting married and having kids. Wishing you the best life has to offer.

so sorry!! this is a horrible thing to go through..but it looks like your headed in the right direction!! Good for you. This guy is a real jerk and its lucky for you to get out before marriage.

Thats horrible what he did to you. At least you found out before you got married so that your not legally involved with all the money he owes. Best of luck with law school and in the future

So sorry that happened to you. But I'm a firm believer in Karma and that all of these awful things he's done to you and your family will come back to get him. Keep your head up and all will be okay. Good luck in law school. You'll be great!
