Re: It's over for good!

I know how you feel - I was in a smilar situation when I was younger- I almost married a gambler- he racked up bills on my cards and left me about $10K in debt and with a car I had to pay $500 a month for- he tried to convience me he would make the payments- thank god I didn't listen

You are strong for walking away- you will be so much happier

I would never even date a gambler after what I went thru

it was such a horrible way to live- he would lose $2k in a week - try to win in back- and end up losing $5k- it was never ending

you deserve better and you will find it
sorry that you had to learn this the hard way- but better now then 2 kids later

OMG. Just reading this story, makes my stomach drop, but I'm glad to see that you're stong enough woman to get through this. Good Luck in Law School. Who knows you might get another woman's 25,000 back from another liar

I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that, on top of ending your engagement. But it sounds like you are walking away a smarter, stronger person who is going to follow their dreams. What a happy ending! I admire you for your strength in what was a horrible situation. Good luck to you!

You know, I met you on this wonderful site and then we got to know each other so well and I *REALLY* think this is a blessing in disguise. You have the most beautiful heart and you deserve all the happiness in the world. When you told me about it all, I felt like a big weight had been lifted off of you literally.

Because you're taking care of yourself right now, everything else will fall into place. You know it and I know it - this is the first step toward peace. Good luck - you're the best!

Re: It's over for good!

Thank-you ladies so much for everything. I love you all. Trust me, it was really, really hard in the beginning. I don't know how I got the strength, but someone up above is watching out for me. I wish I had my eyes open earlier. That good for nothing put me through an engagement party. But you know what, I would have paid 100,000 to get him out of my life. One of the things that ***** is that although I do believe in love somewhat...it's gonna be really, really hard to trust any man now. If the one person I thought would never hurt me goes ahead and does, what's to say that the next won't. I guess as time passes things will get better.
