I thought it was a wonderfully ridiculous ending to 10 years of foolishness!

I tivo'd it too. . .

Now, I'm trying to figure out why, in 1996, when I was 20, away at college & mostly concerned wiht drinking & boys, did I start watching this show?

It must have been during repeats, when I was at home for the summer. . .

What a hot mess this decade turned out to be…

I’m still reeling from the craptacular finale, but what really gets me is that I TIVOed it. Yeah, that’s right girls. I TIVOed this trash! I can now watch this garbage at my leisure. Lucky me.

I don’t even know where to begin so let’s start with RevCam. Dude, what kind of father are you? For that matter, what kind of reverend are you? You fantasize about your son ditching his bride at the altar with the help of your suddenly-mentally-handicapped-pariah daughter. Good for you. Of course, let’s not forget what the opening act to that little dream sequence was. You had a conversation with Umberto The Pie-Faced Boy about how he could break up the wedding. Not only have you disgraced fatherhood, but you’ve disgraced your vague religion. Give yourself a hand!

And Annie, oh Annie. It seems that you managed to scrape together some semblance of reason and empathy. Did they finally get your meds straightened out or are you still hungover from slinging ‘em back with Rose’s evil divorced mother?

Matt and Sarah, please go home and take your unborn twins with you before you too descend into the maelstrom. And Sarah, kudos to you for getting knocked up right before you start your residency thus derailing years of schooling and rendering your medical degree moot.

Lucy and Cyborg. Just shut up. No one cares.

Ruthie, I’m really surprised you didn’t announce a pregnancy with twins too. I mean, you’re sixteen, you’re practically an old maid in the CamVerse! And what is with you digging guys with bad hair and fugly teeth?

SamVid, I am so, so sorry. Perhaps with enough therapy you two can lead some kind of normal life.

And poor character-assassinated Mary. You had 5 minutes of screen time and half of that was over the phone as padding for the hilarious and not at all lame coincidence of the three Camden children being pregnant with twins. Why did you even get out of bed for this gig? Was “Stealth” really that much of a flop?

Simon and Rose, where to start? Will they? Won’t they? Did they? Didn’t they? Why the F does all the action on this show happen off screen? Didn’t they base this entire finale around the wedding? Why would you keep that scene from us? Was it because the juxtaposition of Simon getting Happy the dog and Simon getting married was just too embarrassing to see this through? And why was everyone getting super excited about the wedding whenever Simon was unsure, but then they’d more or less tell him to run when he said he wanted to get married?

Last, but not least, Sandy shows up with a baby, says hi to Simon, says they need to talk and… and… and… NOTHING! Exactly nothing. We don’t know if the baby is Simon’s, if Sandy is love with him or if she just wants to know where the bathroom is!

And you know what? I DON’T CARE! I can’t care anymore! That’s 10 years of my life that they have stolen from me, snatched away slowly, piece by piece over hundreds of Monday nights. That’s a decade of musical episodes, miscommunications, vehicular manslaughters caused by comic books, banishments to Buffalo for looking at a beer, disastrous weddings, awkward first dates, charming parental conversation and unexpected pregnancies. I have nothing left! My soul is gone. Gone, I say! I am bereft, hopeless, hollow. I can barely formulate words strong enough to show my contempt and disdain for this travesty of television. The one thing that sustains hope for my broken spirit is these next few words. Never in the history of man have so few words sounded so sweet.

It is over!

The show was lame, but the recap more than made up for it! I only caught the end and was confused beyond belief. Where was Mary? What did Sandy want? Why was Simon so happy that his almost-bride was still in love with her ex? PEOPLE!?!?!

----While she had redeemed herself by getting back with her saintly ex & bearing yet another set of twins for the extremely fertile extended Camden clan, the family did not know of all this, and her bonus-points-wining college graduation, so she was still banished to Buffalo or some other place where the sinners go.

that was a great assesment of last night episode - it was really very disapointing - and they finished it off totally cheese. all 3 siblings prego w/ twins????....give it up....

didnt you think that sandy was going to tell simon that the baby was his and not martins??? i was hoping she would blurt that out.

than rev. camden could have married them and umberto and rose in a joint ceremony!!!

i should've wrote the last episode - it would have been more fun than the cheese they put together....
