Re: Flowerfield Brides (cooky and lisat)

Ok, My opinon (and some others with me last night). FlowerFields itself was beautiful in every sense of the word! The cocktail hours was amazing! The desserts were amazing! The main course and appetizer was not really that great. The people at my table who had the prime-rib liked it, but did not like the side dish it came with. The people with the fish and the chicken only said it was alright! No one cared for the appetizer which was a cold lobster on cold couscous! Thought the food was going to be unbelievable after the cocktail hour but was extremely disappointed. And Lisat i was cousins with the Bride.....that is funny did she have the same opinon on the food?

I haven't talked to her yet, so I don't have her review. I'm surprised the food was disappointing since they're the same owners as Lands End and the food at our wedding was amazing - especially the main courses (we had sea bass, duck and filet mignon).

My SIL did say the last time they went there they were disapointed in the food but that was 5 years ago and she wasn't sure if they were Lovin Oven then or not. After our wedding, she was looking forward to another great meal like that at Flowerfields.

I'm also very surprised because my wedding was at Flowerfield almost a year ago and people are STILL commenting on the food. I thought it was outstanding, not your standard wedding food. But then again, some people prefer to stick with the 'tried and true' wedding fare, and that is their right, of course! To each his own.

I agree with you JennRenee...

I've heard from numerous people that the food at Flowerfield is amazing! Actually, the reason that my Fiance and I booked Flowerfield is because we have never heard one negative comment about it. I think that sometimes people don't like the food selection at a wedding and mistake it for poor food quality. Just my opinion!

I have to also agree with Jennrenee and J&A. I have yet to hear a negative also about Flowerfield. I heard nothing, but positive about the food. I was super impressed at my tasting. Looking forward to it!
