dont worry!!!!!!has she alaways acted that way ?it her lost if she cant be there for your wedding, i mean family is family , they should be tere regardless!!!!!my fh sis live allentown , pennslyvannia, she is only home once a month. so i dont see her that often , and i even asked her to be one of my bridesmaid, she turn me down, i say oh well, too bad, go on with life.

Ugh are you serious? I'm so sorry!! Allentown isn't really all that far- I have friends in Allentown- actually FH's best man and his wife, who are coming to the wedding with bells on! Oh well, I'm glad you have a good attitude about it!

This just makes me sad....good thing FH could hardly care!!

What's sad is that even FH's Dad is OVER her!!!

acctually she is self absorbed with her work, she work for a paper out there. me and her get along, but there are times i think she doesnt like me. i not sure!!! i always ask fh , if his sister like me , and he says yes. but to tell you the truth i dont care if she does or not, i am marrying him and only him, and i will only see her once ina blue moon.

I'm totally going through this myself with several people...

My aunt and uncle are coming from europe... and I'm extremely grateful of that, but they told me that they are going on a west coast nature tour that starts at 7AM the next morning in California That means they have to take a red eye from NYC to CA right after my wedding ends....

Also FH's sister's family is busting my chops over the price of hotels on LI in June. They live in a really rural area, and complained 'hotels only cost $80/night by us!'.... uhhhh, YEAH, becuase you live between corn and tomatoes!!! They expect me to wave a wand and find a cheap hotel that is either near port jeff (good luck) or near my mom's house in dix hills (ditto).

I decided to not get involved with either situation... I'll let them do what they please...

Oh, you can find a motel like that. Might be a little loud though,as the rooms on either side are being rented by the hour...

You are not unreasonable or ridiculous. You aren't even upset for YOURSELF. You would like to see FH's family make him a priority on the day he gets married! That is PERFECTLY reasonable!

My Fh's brother won't even come up for the wedding from Texas. His mom offered to pay for his airline ticket (she isn't giving a DIME toward our wedding - guess who her favorite is? ). He just doesn't want to come. I am really aggravated. Not because I care if he is there for ME - but because he is the BROTHER of the man I love!

In the end... I guess there is no point in getting aggravated. She is not going to wreck your day regardless. You will have a GORGEOUS wedding and you can thank heaven she isn't a BM!

You're always gonna get one of those ppl. You're right you called it. at least you didn't ask her to be involved! At least she is preparing you, so the least you can do is prepeare yourself for her to leave and if she stays take the time to enjoy her company! Good Luck!

Hate to even admit this , but I was so aggravated that I even looked into 'those' establishments, and even the cheapest room there ('large mirrored room with queen bed') is $85/night. IF they insisted on going there, I'd secretly bump up their room to 'deluxe king disco room'. I figure the kids would like it
