I had an engagement brunch at The Maine Maid Inn in Jericho, NY. We had 18 people in a private room upstairs. Food was about $25 per person and included an appetizer, entree, and dessert plus tea and coffee. Alcohol and other drinks were extra. The service was great, and my guests all loved the atmosphere. I had my bridesmaid luncheon at Robinson's tea room in Stony Brook.
We did the 'Tea Party' which came with tea/coffee, and a three tiered luncheon special with small sandwiches, skones, and other pastries. Then we got dessert. I don't remember how much it was per person but I am pretty sure it was under 30.
We also had the rehearsal dinner that evening, so I didn't want to do anything that was going to make them too full.
