Re: For Kris
thanks! I feel a bit better now. I am prepared for the fact that i will see other weddings there. I am pleased to hear how good the food is, that is what I have heard before. Thank you for the reassurance. I am having the same flower color scheme. I also got the same cake- stacked like yours, and it looks so pretty with the flowers on it! I can't wait! What room was your cocktail hr?

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
Hi Ani! Your pictures are soo beautiful! I was married there on 10/18 and experienced the same problems with the Crest Hollow!
Are you persuing any legal avenues? I think it's a serious problem that they refuse to fix
If you want give me a call, we can discuss the issue further. Hope you had a terrific honeymoon

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
Oh boy here we go.....Before anyone gets nervous about Crest Hollow and the problems they've been having with thefts and what not...remember that this happens at EVERY reception hall, and it's not isolated to the Crest Hollow. Lock your stuff up, don't leave valuables with anyone but a family member, and never leave the gifts unattended or with someone you don't know. I am quite sure that pepper has looked into this, and is handling it in her own way. It is extremely unfortunate, but her day was beautiful, she looked beautiful, and she seems very happy with the place, and future brides can learn from her experience, and move on.
Yes, I am biased because I am getting married there, but everyone gets really really nervous when people come on these boards and post scary stories about things happening at their reception halls, with their vendors, etc. Each situation is very different.
I am just heading off any nervous brides reacting to your post J9tiburon....

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
I am also getting married at the Crest Hollow. I just wanted to note that one of the reasons I was so impressed with the place was from an experience I had there a few years ago as a guest. My now fiancee left the card (with cash) in the cocktail room and I am happy to say that a staff member brought it to the maitre d unopened and we were able to get it back. I guess there are good stories and bad ones at every place. Also, is the standard cake shown in the pictures the one that does not carry an additional cost? Just wondering....

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
Pepper,I too am sad that you regard The Crest Hollow as a 'mill'. I read your response to Kris and you know going in that there are 2 or 3 other parties going on during that day. It's not the place that makes your day special- it's you and all your love ones. Of course you want a nice place, which CC is. Which, it looks like you had a fabulous day and you particularly look stunning! So, don't think of it as just another wedding. I'm having my reception there on 10/19 and I'm getting really excited! I'm sure you didn't mean it to be so negative, but the way it sounded made a few of us Crest Hollow folks feel uncertain about the place we picked. It is unacceptable that they lost your heirloom!
Who was your MD there? That I'd like to know, so I can request someone else
How was the service? I went to a wedding at The Watermill (afternoon wedding) and the service was horrible! I want to make sure if my guests are eating their salad's- the plate won't be taken from underneath them on their first bite!!! and finally................Where did you go on your honeymoon?Congratulations and best of luck!!!

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
The pics are beautiful! and as for the wine glass, my brother had the same thing happen at his wedding! He had it at the Fox Hollow and they had a very pretty cake topper that was two pieces- a bride and groom- only the groom was returned to them! I suspect a similar incident where the bride cake topper was broken and no one wanted to say anything. They didn't pursue it- but I would have! Looks like you have a beautiful day! Congratulations! Thanks for the review!

Re: My 10/20 Wedding at Crest Hollow LONG!!!!
I have stopped obsessing about it, and really no matter what, I can't prevent anything like that happening to me. I will just be extra cautious with anything of value (which I would have anyway, b/c in reality they ARE strangers).I am psyched for next Saturday, I know the food will rock, and the room is gorgeous. Whatever happens, happens.
