I think we can all relate. I have changed my mind so many times that I am driving FH crazy!!
But seriously I was at a wedding not that long ago and have no clue what the CP looked like...and I dont really remember too much about the food...all I do know is that we had a blast be we were all together. Your day will be amazing...dont worry!

it is very very normal to feel this way. It is a huge event you are planning for and it is natural to feel that way. You will feel very different emotions before and after this time. It is a huge life adjustment

Re: .....

well, let me tell you that 3 wks before my wedding, I wanted to cancel it. I wanted to get married, but cried and cried that I no longer wanted this wedding.
I can remember absolutely DREADING having to put that stupid dress on for just one more fitting. I hated the flowers I chose.
I remember putting a thread on the '06 brides chat room, asking for their advice b/c DH and I were fighting so much, I feared that on our wedding day, we would be angry at each other, and in all of our pictures, we would be looking at each other with vehemence.

I couldn't possibly imagine how DH and I would not be arguing on our wedding day and how it could be in the least bit romantic.

I don't know how....I really dont know how......but somehow, it all worked out. DH and I were in love, my flowers were beautiful, the dress was nice, there was no more fighting.....it just worked. Here are my photos to prove it:

The same will happen for you........ : )

I would like to guarantee that your day will be everything you excpected and more. Trust your vendors and your choices and there's nothing to worry about.

I remember crying HYSTERICALLY a few weeks before my wedding because I was afraid it was going to be cheesy and it wasn't 'good enough.' DH was yelling at me & we were fighting... it was so stressful. Try not to sweat it. Its going to be BEAUTIFUL. Its all about you & DH & you guys celebrating your love (GOD - that sounds dorky).

awww Caroline- I totally know how you feel. I was frustrated with a few things- and had some minor regrets about the silly details. But that's what they are- silly details. On that very day, you will just shrug them off- like STUPID BASEBALLS on your CAKE!

Your day will be BEAUTIFUL because you are marrying your best friend!! Hang in there- it's very common to feel this way!

your wedding will be wonderful. As with anything in life, I believe it is what you make of it. If you want to have a wonderful time, you will regardless if you spent 10k or 75k. I think as it gets closer and closer everyone has the same fears. Maybe I should have done something different . . . etc, but remember it is what you make of it. Personally, I think if you have good music and you enjoy yourself, the party is set. No need for anything too fancy.

It's perfectly normal. My sister will be married almost a month and I still go back and think we could have done this or that or we should have gone to this place for a quote, etc. It is normal so don't worry

Re: .....

I was so happy with everything about my wedding until I joined this site 6 months after I got married. Now I wish I had chosen a different RH site, and different centerpieces, etc.
The truth is that you are going to have things that maybe would have looked better, but make the best of it.
I am ok knowing that out of all the things that I would have changed, I wouldn't have changed the man that I married and that is the most important thing. As long as the two of you are happy that day. Nothing else should matter.

I'm 23 days away and I am DOUBTING EVERYTHING about my wedding.

Now I'm wishing I chose different flowers, different vendors... maybe waited a little longer to plan the wedding.

I don't know, I KNOW we are doing whats best for us (staying within budget) but part of me just feels like this isn't going to be my DREAM wedding and it BUGS me.

Its ONE DAY. I KNnoOOoooW its going to be an amazing time... I just can't shake the feeling that there is something MISSING from the wedding. Something unique.

Please tell me some of you have had these kinds of doubts so close to your wedding.

I think you are feeling normal...I am sure that it will be beautiful!

Hey!!!

Please dont worry about the small stuff!!! This stuff is soooo small, compared to your marriage that will last you many many years!!! You may not even remember what exactly you had on the tables but you will remember how you felt that day. Your day will be what you make of it

I refuse to be in debt and later on argue over finances that we are paying off and cannot afford. Stay with in your reasonable means and make it creative!!

I spent 10$ per table dozen roses for centerpieces.
One dollar per couple on place cards ( fans from China town) I love
Getting my tayloring done outside of my bridal store
I made my favors, and bought my veil, boxes, monogram stickers, slip and hair comb on EBAY!!! Everything is amazing and I saved thousands.
My photographer and video is an average dude that takes great pics who goes by word of mouth Total 2k
Im having my wedding on Labor day!!! Saves me 20 bucks a head in September!!!
Going to fun vegas for a honeymoon!!!

And most important ALL the important people!!! 120 of them will be there to share this amazing day Including the love of my life...and thats ALL that counts!!!!

Re: .....

you guys RULE.

My FH rules too b/c I worked myself into SUCH a frenzy that I literally DROPPED... FH tried to lay next to me and talk to me but I was sooooooooooooo out of it I fell asleep talking to him. Its crazy I let myself get like that. He just kissed me everytime he came into the room and left me a sweet note this morning that simply said:

'you are doing an incredible job'

[sigh]

I feel better today, but I'm still VERY overwhelmed... Partly b/c I work for a University and the semester is about to begin and I will have less time to do finish all the *details* And my son will be starting school as well. So I know the STORM is coming.

Again, thank you so much for all your support. It HELPS hearing that this is not an uncommon feeling....
