for my hair and makeup.

she thinks $150 for hair and $150 for makeup is ridiculous.. she said $50 for makeup and $100 for hair is reasonable.... should i tell her shes out of her bird? or is she right? now i think im gonna have to pay for this on my own because i am not skimping on those 2 things...

POLL IS CLOSED! THANKS GIRLS!

I paid I think $100 for hair and $75 for makeup... but I got everything done in a salon in Staten Island.

I'm paying for my own hair and make up and I'm giving my MOH & my mom their makeup as a gift.
So I guess I'm not of much help.

I think my makeup is costing $150. Not sure how much my hair is yet. Probably between $100-150. Not sure though.

it might be doabel if you go to a salon ... but if anything why dont you just pay the diffrence ...

For someone to come to your house you'll probably end up spending more.

What about if she paid what she wants to pay and you pay whatever is over. I think that seems reasonable

yeah maybe i will ask her about splitting the difference. duh, that should work.

Re: ok so i dont think my mom is paying...

who knows which makeup/hair vendors on here do both hair and makeup? i kind of want to book a makeup artist and hairdresser who work together so i know there will not be any issues or anything

definitely give that a whirl....then it's less that you have to fork over yourself!

great suggestion!!!

How about you take her $150 and put $150 on your own...that way she's helping you out and you get the vendors you want...bwt to me those prices are average.

My sister-in-law looked in Oksana to do her make-up on the day of her son's baptism, and she can go to your house for no extra fee i think (may depend on where you're located). Oksana also has a hairstylist she works with who also goes to your home. I don't know more about this, but it's something to look into...

I am paying $50 for my hair and i have no clue for makeup because its a friend who is a pro doing it. She will give me a price next month.

Now I am traveling to get it done (its only a few mins from my parents house) so if you have someone going to your house then I can understand the price.

I'll pay any price to look perfect on the big day.

I agree with your mom. I think 150 for MU is too much. My friend is doing my hair and I'm looking for a mu artist that will charge max 100.
