because even though FH and I aren't buying a home, we rented an apartment and are going through the same thing with BOTH sets of parents. I completely understand where you're coming from

IMO def get the house with everything already in it...fh and i have a friend who bought a house that was cheap and fix it up...well they have put in sooooo much more money then they originally thought because everytime they turned they found something else that needed to be done...but i hope u find the house of your dreams in the best area!

i feel like that if there is a house there that is all finished and how we like... and its more money I rather pay more.. then to deal with the hassel of being in a construction mess forever.. i was trying to explain this to them but they werent getting it

im so glad someone gets this feeling.

its hard because you want to please them and you want to be a 'grown up' but theystill le of think that we are little kids who are not capable of doing this on our own and of course if our likes are differnt than theirs forget it

exactly!!! it's like anything you suggest is wrong cause they know better but what they don't understand is that it's not always that they really know better but that they just want something completely different and don't understand/can't see that you might know what you're doing!
