Someone asked me when I was 'due' once. I am 5'6', 165 lbs and I've never been pregnant.

Re: Offensive Comments
I get the SAME comments but I am 5'10' and very thin. Me & DaniRN can definately relate & to be honest, I'd like to slap someone (and someday I just might) when they say:
Don't you eat (No I eat air your fu*&^% idiot!)
Some people just have no class One day a girl who could stand to lose a few pounds herself said something to me and I replied: 'Wow and you eat too much!' I don't think twice anymore, I'll bite right back at you and embarass you in the process!

Re: Offensive Comments
I don't find the comments I receive offensive, just annoying. I'm 6'1' and people see the need to point out the obvious every day:
'Wow! You're tall!'
or they ask
Q:'Do you play basketball?' A: Nope, I'm a horse jockey.
Ohh...I forgot. People are rude when I go out to clubs. I guess they don't realize I see them staring and pointing me out to their friends.

Re: Offensive Comments
This may seem silly, but my eyes are an unusual shade of blue/gray, and my pupils are unusually large. People have asked me on too many occaisions if: 1) (and least offensive) I wear colored contacts 2) I have done illegal drugs lately. COULD YOU FREAKING IMAGINE?!

Re: Offensive Comments
i can TOTOALLy relate- i am 5'7' and 110 lbs ( Very thin) and i just cant seem to gain any weight ( I have tried)- i CANT stand when people aSSume than i must be bulimic ( SP?) anorexic- this is really offensive- i am the farthest from this. i eat mc d's, junkfood, steaks etc everyday and i cant seem to gain weight- people dont understand this- but its the truth. Also its not a compliment when someone says- 'EWW your SOOO skinny'
sorry to vent- but this is a constant issue for me lately.

Re: Offensive Comments
We (girls who are not small or really thin for a variety of reasons) are just jealous. Realize thats where most of these comments come from and take it for whats it worth (nothing!). Since we would love to hear that stuff, then its assumed that you would love it too.
PS: The Childrens Gap thing is absolutely true. My friend worked at the Gap in HS and always buys her tshirts and basics at KidsGap b/c its a lot of the same stuff but a lot cheaper too. I dont think that was meant as a slight, just a way for you to save some $$$.
Jenn: I get that sometimes too...not sure why but on some days my eyes look a weird shade and people assume Im wearing contacts. Not really offensive to me since Im not wearing contacts but I always thing 'if i were, why do you feel it your job to let the world know?'

Re: Offensive Comments
I guess you're right. I do wear lenses (clear ones!), and after hearing it so many times it gets old and annoying. I mean, would you ever walk up to someone and say 'Hey, are your boobs real?' It's the drugs thing that REALLY upsets me though. And I hear it A LOT.

Re: Offensive Comments
JennRenee, Why would the whole drugs thing upset you? (I've never heard of drugs changing someone's eyecolor.) It's not like they said your behavior comes across like you're on drugs.
You should be flattered that you have such unique eyes! Hell, I pay for those (colored lenses)!
And believe me, people do walk up to others and ask 'Are your boobs real?' Would I ever do it, no, but that's probably b/c I know how it feels to be on the receiving end. Besides, I have no desire to know if someones boobs (or anything else for that matter) are real.

Oh boy, can I relate to this in a big way. I have long blonde hair--people often ask me if it is mine?? No dumba@# it's the girl nextdoors. Then they often proceed to touch it!! Get your filthy mits off of me!!!Then they ask if I dye it..NO it is mine!! I was born this way. Some people are so rude--I walk around most of the time trying to convince myself that most of the world is not full of idiots but it seems to be getting really hard!!

Re: Offensive Comments
Jenny, it's not my eye color that causes people to ask if I'm on drugs, it's the size of my pupils (most of the time they are HUGE!). Why am I upset by this?? Ya know what?? I really don't know! I think you have a point about it not being like people say I ACT like I'm on drugs... which sometimes... nevermind.

Re: Offensive Comments
I get all the stupid tall comments. Yes I'm tall, no I don't play basketball you jackass, and BTW, no its not all the same lying down!
I was also not-so-lovingly referred to as THE STICK by this one girl I knew who never lost her pregnancy weight, but I was nice enough never to ask her when she was due, but I was soooo tempted. If I knew about this site then, maybe I wouldn't have let the STICK comments bother me!!

I have to say you girls had me laughing, with your secret thoughts of what you'd love to say to people when they offend you.
I guess my big thing is my chest. It's not overly huge, but for some reason I was blessed with the biggest chest out of my friends and some of them really find it a point to ALWAYS say something!!! I hate my boobies!

Re: Offensive Comments
eroxgirl, I'd rather be referred to as 'The Stick' than Ogar, Babboon, and Lurch to name a few. Yep, those were my nicknames growing up. Ogar & Lurch I answered to b/c that's what some of my friends called me. Babboon, on the other hand, was one of those 'not-so-loving' nicknames.

I have to admit... I have a tall friend who I lovingly call 'Munchkin'. It's really out of love and envy, and I never meant to hurt or offend her. ::::the 5'2' chubba slinks away with her jealous tail between her legs::::

OctBride3 - I have the same thing - I'm not that big, but, my two best friends who are both pretty small chested have often commented on how huge I am - I think it gave me a complex for a while. But, I know they don't really mean to upset me. I think they mean it as a compliment.

Re: Offensive Comments
OctBride03, Oh my...I went through hell in college of all places in regards to my boobs! I was harassed to know end by my male friends. My roommate's boyfriend used to run behind me and pull back my shirt back so it was tight to show his friends 'the size of those babies!'
And the baseball players would tease me about getting black & blue eyes when I would go running.
