Re: my MOH is PREGGO!! what should I do??

I think she would be perfectly fine for a half hour during a reception.....being pregnant is pretty normal. As long as you're not asking her to run around and do all these crazy things for you, there's no reason she can't be your MOH if you still want her to.

Aww

I was going to suggest this too. She can always sit in the first row if she needs to sit down!

My MOH and one of my BMs were pregnant at my wedding. We had extra chairs in the front row saved for them, just in case they ended up feeling the need to sit down.

Funny thing is, it was one of the other BMs who ended up feeling light headed and sat down

Like the other girls said it should be fine. Have a chair incase but she should be ok.

Let her pick a dress that she is completely comfortable in even if it is different then the other girls -- maybe she is feeling self conscious and that is why she doesn't want to stand up there.

I agree with making sure there is a chair available for her. And I'd suggest just letting her sit as much as possible during the ceremony. I'm sure most of your guests will be able to tell that she is pregnant, and it would be totally understandable if she sits through the whole ceremony. So I don't think it'd come off as being weird.

Also, maybe have a BM who can be a backup, in case your sis really does need to back out closer to the date because of pregnancy issues. Maybe if she knows you have a backup, she won't feel as stressed and worried.

I would also suggest using your backup BM to share in the MOH duties. So this way if your sister is there at your ceremony, needs to sit, or feels she can't keep moving around to fix your dress/hold flowers, etc, the backup BM could help in doing those duties. Again, it might help your sister to know there is someone else to help her out.

That is what I was going to say. Have her sit the entire time. You can even have the Best Man sit too if she feels silly.

Aww that's wonderful news! Congrats to her She should be fine but plan for her to be able to sit and rest if needed.

Great minds think alike!

What about having your best man and MOH sit down through out the entire ceremony if they are the only ones you are having?
Other wise a chair available is fine! The people at the ceremony are your friends and family, it wont look weird, it will look accomodating to help your sister!

She'll be fine. My MOH is pregnant, (she'll be 5 months at my wedding) and one of my BMs is pregnant too. I'm having a chair up at there so my MOH can sit if she wants to. And dont' worry about a replacement or anything. If she can't do it in the end, she can't do it. You don't HAVE to replace her, just use the girls you already have, no need to street yourself out even more.

Being 6/7 months pregnant won't be so bad, if she were in a first trimester or the end of the last trimester I would be more concerned. Some women actually feel pretty good during that time frame because the nausea is typically over. I would make sure there is seating for her as the other ladies have mentioned and also look into a smaller heel shoe in case her feet get swollen or so. I have been to a few weddings with very pregnant women in the bp and havent' seen a faiting yet. I think she will be fine. That is sweet of her to be concerned though. I hope it all works out!

My SIL's bm was 8 months pregnant for her August wedding and she was fine. Every pregnancy is different though. Have a chair for her so she has the option to sit if she needs to.

It's easy for her to feel like she'll get overwhelmed now because it's all new to her... and because the first three months are always the most draining. You feel like you want to sleep all the time and standing seems like a task in itself.

At 5 months though...God willing, she'll be fine. I was at a christening last night and several pregnant woman ranging from 5 months to 8 months pregnant were up standing, dancing (the greek dances... not just side to side stuff)... and they were all fine. I was dancing and standing up until the day my son was born. I even moved some furniture but thats besides the point.

Congrats to your sister and she'll be fine. A chair is a great idea if she feels that strongly about it, but like I said... I've seen (and have done myself,) many pregnant woman do more strenuous things at that stage so she should be ok.

good luck.
