Re: Pre-Cana

the way that we experienced it was that there was like 12 couples and there there were 6 lead couples. Each week for 6 weeks, there would be a topic and the lead couple would introduce it (some would talk longer then others) then they would have the couples share out...Sometimes we would talk one on one...Other times it was just a big group discussion...They ask questions, but you dont have to answer anything that you dont feel comfortable with. It wasnt actually too bad...I liked it in the end!

OK, basically its like marriage counseling with a twist.
They talk about the different aspects of marriage.

Who wil handle the finances and bills, who will do housework, how you will raise your children, do you see eye to eye on raising children, how you will split holidays...things that if you dont live together you never think to talk about.

There are not 'Personal' questions, they dont ask you about your sex life or that sort of thing. Nothing is every asked that crosses a line-if there were I would just say it private and you dont want to speak about it but I HIGHLY doubt they will ask.

They talk about what roll God plays in your lives now and what roll he will play in your future and childrens lives.

Its a peice of cake, We had 3 sessions, each was 1 1/2 hours long with 3 other couples getting married and 2 older couples who were our 'Mentors' thru the process. We never really broke up into single couples, it was always group. We actually enjoyed it and found that we arent crazy and that we had alot of things in common with the other couples there.
