Honestly, no one will look at the books as more than just decoration on the mantles.
Pictures people will look at.

You can do it, but I would leave out the signs.

I think that if it's something special to you, then it's a cute idea. I also agree with people looking more at pics though - so why don't you put both on there? This way, people will probably first be drawn over to look at the pics, and then will see the books YOU like...

btw, that link for Bourne is GREAT. I'm getting married there in August...how did you find that link??

Thanks!

The link is so great...I already sent it to my fh and some others :) He'll probably want to strangle me though, cause now it will just give me more reasons to find things to put everywhere!!! I had only focused on the 3 mantles - now I see the bookshelves too!!!

Maybe you know the answer to this...I'm not sure if I asked them at Lessing's or not, but, the room that is designated as the Dining Room - if you aren't using that for a ceremony, does it get used as indoor seating for the cocktail hour?

I love that idea... and for those who haven't been at the Bourne... the cocktail hour almost encourages that look around kind of feeling - i bet people would be into it knowing that you are into it

I agree, I don't think anyone will notice it enough to make it worth having the signs there.

One idea I had for you though, is you can display your favorite books there ... and then maybe have your photographer take a picture with the books & your wedding rings, or bo-k?
