People tend to buy last minute. For example - I have a shower coming up on 8/2 and I still haven't bought anything But I plan on spending like $300 b/c we can't make their wedding even though they are coming to ours. You never know!! Also - in many instances I had people who got us things but either a) they forgot to hand the cashier the registry or b) they 'found it cheaper somewhere else' and bought what I registered for, but from another store. HTH!

people buy a lot of stuff last minute!
you still have time to remove the stuff you dont want and leave the things you really want.
when we first registered, we put on a lot of stuff that i have since taken off because we don't really need/want it and there were other things we wanted/needed to get first. once we got the things we wanted, we added other things on. of course, some of the more important things were added late because we couldnt decide what we wanted (towels, dishes, pots/pans) but i'd recommend taking off things you'd be disappointed to get.
finally, i did find that there are definite patterns of what people like to buy! all of our glassware (and we registered for a lot![]()
) FLEW off our registries and so did our china. bedding was much slower (maybe because it's from macys).
we also got all of our dishes immediately, but other things were slower.

Me too, my registeries have barely been touched. Sorry about it, I think though people will give cash at wedding so I can use that to buy some necessary items (everyday dishware etc).

I think my shower is next weekend. I peeked once to see if anything was purchased and then I was upset that I saw 2 things I was getting, so I stopped looking. Someone told FH one thing they were getting us. My son looked on Wednesday night and said only 3 items were bought. I think people will buy last minute. I know about 26 people said they were coming to the shower.
