i honestly dont think its worth even thinking about until a month or two before your wedding.

I dont think you should argue with them over this... yeah its in the contract, but if it isnt affecting you directly, you're not gonna get crap outta them anyways... now if this was a month before you're wedding, id def say see what you can talk them into...

So I know we CLM brides have been waiting patiently for this new carpet to be in downstairs. I have a payment due on Wednesday so i called them to say I would be mailing it since I wont be able to make it down there by then. My question is this - Lou put in my contract that the carpet will be in by July. And based on my convo with Nick today, thats not happening. so what do i do? Do i try to play hardball with them and ask them to throw in one of the extra things that i wanted or just get over it?

i know i am not getting married until next May so this really has no direct effect on me, but my problem is that if it were me going against something that was added to the contract, i am quite sure that they (or any RH for that matter) would hold you to it. So why shouldnt i hold them to this??? Otherwise whats the point of putting it in the contract to begin with................

IN legal terms, you have not been 'damaged' by the delay, so you have no recourse. Your wedding is a year away, I assume the carpet will be in by that time, so its not worth starting out on the wrong foot with your hall, a year before your event...

i saw the sample carpet and its almost exactly the same as the old carpet..i understand what your saying about it being in the contract and all but its so similar that it would be silly to complain to them about it...

I'd wait till its closer to your wedding to argue..but honestly..i went to look at CLM last Feb when i got engaged and they told me the carpet was going in in march back then!

you are so far off i wouldnt worry yet,....but honestly the rug now isnt all that bad....if anyone is going to be walking around staring at the rug in your RH they need to get their heads checked lol but i am sure it will be in by your wedding

Me neither. I mean, if you needed it in, I'd make a big deal about it, but honestly it causes you no 'damages' if they breach this term and install it late (and the longer it takes, the newer it is at your wedding!)

I would not worry about it until atleast a couple months before your wedding. Maybe there was a hold up in with putting it in by July.

I doubt they will do anything but I would inquire about the rug and mention that it was in your contract. I would even go as far as to bring up that they have been telling brides since March and probably before that this would be done but it still isn't done and that you are concerned. See what they say. Then wait till closer to your wedding. a few months away to negotiate some extras. Good Luck!

Keep me posted!

As long as it is put in before your wedding I wouldn't worry about it.

Id say let it go...not worth it at all...especially since your wedding is not for a little while..im a CLM bride and im not gonna push that issue unless I have to...

I wouldn't make a big deal about it but i would mention to them the fact that it is in your contract to be done by July. I wouldn't do more than inquire.

I am getting married there in 2 weeks and didn't find out about the new rug until February, 7 months after I booked there. I really got my hopes up on having a new rug for my wedding and am somewhat disappointed that its not going to happen. I just wish I never heard about the 'new rug'.....
